Nothing To see here, also you can’t park there.
a NUMMI car visits Regina assembly.
This is Gm’s Regina Assembly plant. opened in 29, closed in 31, re-opened later in the 30's. The last Chev/GMC/Pontiac or Olds rolled off the line in 1941.
There was nothing interesting in the section I was in. Just Gravel trucks.

Were any Oaklands ever made there?

As a ‘murican, I was surprised to hear that the city in Saskatchewan rhymes with “Vagina.”

No, I don’t think so, there’s a nearby museum with a Viking(olds) and a Marquette(buick)

Yep, the BIG GINA! (nobody calls it that). Even the mayor will use the joke “Rhymes with fun” on t.v.

Say hi to Jimmy Falcone MacDougall if you see him in regina.

There was a famous line by Mick Jagger when the Stones played in Regina years ago, “It’s so nice to be here in Regina, the city that rhymes with ‘fun’!”

That’s true, I was at that show.

Neat. I did not know they had plants out there! I’ve only been twice to visit family and half of them are in Elk Rib. I remember travelling on the highway and being passed by a train for an hour. Horizon to horizon.
I do have a pilsner/roughriders banner on the wall in the kids playroom though. I love wearing my green and white apparel to confuse all the Argos fans around here

It was the west’s only plant and it never really worked out. Built tanks and artillery during the war. Was told by an old guy in there that some of the decorative lamp posts in wascana park are leftover howitzer barrels.

But how are the Pats doing, eh? Going for the Memorial Cup this year? Better than Moose Jaw or Medicine Hat at least?
![]() 01/20/2016 at 19:15 |

Probably not, the Pats have had a couple rough seasons. Cut the cable and picked the right year to not watch any Riders Games. Haven’t watched a lot of hockey since they took rabbit ears away and made my garage tv useless.

Yeah, I haven’t been following it much this year either. I believe Spokane started off the year ok but has taken a dive since. My thoughts went to hockey right away since just about the only time I hear about towns like Regina, Saskatoon, Kamloops, etc. down here is when the Chiefs are playing them.

You in washington? I believe I am the owner of Saskatchewan’s only city of Seattle parking meter.
![]() 01/20/2016 at 19:42 |

Yep, I’m in Spokane which is about 20 miles west of the Idaho border and about 90 miles south of the Canadian. Basically, draw a line straight south from Nelson and you’ll eventually hit me. I promise not to tell the Washington State Patrol about the parking meter.

I’ve lived here for 20 years, and dedicated much of my life to watching cartoons. Strangely I’ve never watched that show.

It was 1992, can’t put a ticking parking meter in your checked bags anymore. That said, modern bombs don’t tick.

We should start calling it that though.
